What a great way to start out the new semester with the adorable Ashley & Jared and their husky, Loki! We have clients ask us all the time about taking pictures with their dogs, and we absolutely encourage it. There’s just something about starting out the photo session having fun, playing with a puppy that breaks the ice and sets a more relaxed tone for the rest of the day. Sadly this is only a little peek, but trust me, the best is yet to come!
It hardly seems like it’s been 10 months since we first met with Andrea & Kipper, but the reality of their wedding has set in. We’ve gotten to know these two love birds and are glad to call them close friends. We look forward to watching them grow in their marriage and see where life takes them. Check out a quick peek from their wedding at Villa Antonia in Austin this Saturday, and congrats you two!
How adventurous are Andrea and Kipper?! When we first met, they asked us if we would be open to traveling and trying out something different, and we never could’ve imagined that we’d be visiting theme parks petting dolphins, traveling back country roads, and ending their session in a pool with the bride in a wedding gown and the groom in slacks and a dress shirt. With their wedding day quickly approaching, we can’t imagine what’s in store for us there, but we’re totally excited for the prospects of what’s to come. Check out a small sampling of our favorites from their Engagement Session!
Once upon a time we set a rule for ourselves that we would not photograph close friends or family. I guess it might sound a little silly for those of you who aren’t photographers, but trust me, there are a thousand reasons for this well-intentioned decision. I will spare you the laundry list and just say that my top reason was the unreal PRESSURE you put on yourself as a professional to do an amazing job.
Well, it looks like our “no family” rule has officially flown out the window. It started with Thomas’s brother’s wedding followed by my best friend’s wedding…and now my one and only baby sister, Erin, is getting married. At the end of the day, we figure that since we’ve been blessed with a smidgen of creative talent and while we’re on this spinning rock, why not work with the people we love?! It is an absolute honor to be able to photograph the friends and family that are so close to our hearts. We can never thank all of them enough for their love, support, and laughter. ❤
Erin + Mike: Part I
Some girls dream of a big, lavish wedding that will be an event for the record books, while other brides fantasize about an intimate, sunset ceremony on a beach surrounded by their closest loved ones. Obviously the “wedding of your dreams” comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, but every girl deserves to have that one fairytale day where she feels like a princess marrying her dashing prince charming (it might even include riding off into the sunset on a noble steed…after all, we are in Texas, y’all!).
Bridget and Coulter were lucky enough to get to experience the best of both styles of weddings. Soon after they started dating, these two realized that they had found the “one” and were married in a small, sweet ceremony. Since there were a few elements missing that day, Bridget contacted us to help her recreate part of her fairytale wedding complete with her handsome prince, an amazing ball gown, and a picturesque castle. The only things missing this time were pumpkins and glass slippers!
Bridget & Coulter…we absolutely loved working with you both. You are truly kindred spirits…which is a little scary and refreshing depending on how you look at it. Haha! May you be happy and blessed always! ~T&E
Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing weekend! One of our resolutions this year is to spend more time “recharging our batteries”…maybe take some pilates classes. Well, at least there’s 49 more weeks left in 2013 to work on it, right?!!
Yesterday we worked with childhood sweethearts, Jaime & Craig. This beautiful couple actually grew up together and started “dating” in 7th grade! (Pretty sure if love can survive middle school, it can survive anything!) Needless to say, their friends and family have known for years that this engagement was coming. There should seriously be a Taylor Swift song based on their love story! Haha!
Here’s a sweet moment from Jaime and Craig’s engagement session yesterday… 🙂
