Chelsea was such a fun bride to work with and seriously laid back! We only had time to shoot her bridals 3 days before her wedding since her schedule with the military didn’t work out in our favor, AND her fiancé was going to be rolling into town the day before the wedding because of his. With all of this, she was still as cool as a cucumber! Since her wedding was at Messinahof, the vintage decor and location went well with her styling. Enjoy a few of our faves from her session!

We’re so happy to introduce Rachel and Luke! They’ve epitomized the term “True Love.” This couple is truly amazing in they way they interact with one another and just spending five minutes with them, you can feel that it’s forever. They day of their wedding wasn’t without “issues”, (i.e. wind and weather), but watching Rachel and Luke, there wasn’t anyone else or anything else in the world that could ruin their day. Boy, did we have a blast with Samantha’s bridal session! We hit up her reception site at the 1940′s Air Museum in Houston, right by Hobby Airport. They’re still doing renovations and pretty much let us have run of the place. The architecture only accented Samantha’s classic styling and beauty. We were definitely NOT short on props, with vintage luggage and retired airplanes out front. Enjoy a few of our faves from her session!

Bridal Session on Texas A&M Campus in College Station – {Andrea}

Wowza! So, we’ve been getting behind a bit with the overwhelming number of brides we’re meeting with and things are getting a bit backed up. Well, here’s Andrea’s bridal session to get us back on track and moving again, so we can get you your regular water cooler moment fix. One of the things that I really liked about Andrea’s session is, not only did we manage to have an Aggie day visiting all of our favorite places on campus, but she brought her fiancé along too! NO, not his physical presence, but a picture of him in his Marine uniform to keep her spirits high and keep her smiling. Trust me, after about 10 minutes of smiling, you need to start looking for inspiration to get you through the burn… So here’s a few of our favorite images from her session, enjoy!!

Royalty Pecan Farms Proposal / Engagement – {Juhee & Anthony}

As 2011 came to a close and we were in the midst of working on our December Weddings, Christmas orders, and our own Christmas with our families, Anthony gave us a shout and let us know that he wanted to propose to his longtime girlfriend and wanted us to capture it. Now it’s not everyday that we get to shoot the actual proposal, and lemme tell you, it’s so AWESOME for us! We always want to get the emotional moments that help us tell a story, and this is no exception. For the most part, when guys purchase THE ring, it burns a hole in their pocket, they get antsy and wonder if the girl’s going to figure it out, and they’re worried if the moment is going to be perfect and whether or not if she’s going to say “YES” or “Lemme think about it / I don’t know”, no matter how long they’ve been together. So, to search high and low for a professional photographer, is not on the top of the guy’s priority list. Not because the moment is important to them, but because he is genuinely nervous and doesn’t want to screw anything up. Guys, here’s a hint: She’s going to want to remember the moment you asked for her hand in marriage.

Anthony thought about that detail beforehand and we even walked the proposal site, so I could tell him the placement for his vision of how the proposal would go. You can imagine how hard it was to get away from his girlfriend over Christmas vacation and put all this together. It was one of the sweetest proposals we’ve had a chance to capture. We LOVE hearing the proposal stories, and it’s much more special for us to be a part of the story. So on a weekday afternoon, Juhee and Anthony came out to Royalty Pecan Farms for a picnic. This isn’t really out of the ordinary for them since they enjoy the outdoors and go out for picnics every now and then. Anthony pulled out his guitar after the food had been pillaged and played a song that he wrote for her. Juhee, being an avid photo hobbyist, took a few pictures of him playing and the picnic itself. Then they took a walk down a row of Pecans to take in the view and nature. Just as the passed the third or fourth tree, Anthony pulled out a bouquet of flowers and a basket with dessert which held the ring. He got down on one knee and asked the big question… And she said “YES!” Thrilled with excitement, he picked her up and spun her around, gave her a hug, and walked over to a waiting chair where he washed her feet as a sign of marital servitude and too always take care of his wife better than himself. He then introduced me and we captured a few formal photos before the family showed up to congratulate them both. I then, took my leave of them, as they beamed with pride and love for each other. Brenham Wedding Sneak Peek – {Caitlin & Joel}

Hey everyone! We’re still rolling on with the New Year, wrapping up some of our 2011 items, and tweaking our Resolutions. I figure that we have at least a month to start our resolutions before I can admit that I’ve broken any. Who else is with me on this?

Well, Today we wanted to show off our second wedding of 2012 with Caitlin and Joel’s wedding in the nearby town of Brenham. Blue Bell come to mind? Especially the Mint Chocolate Chip, or the cookie dough, or… Wait, lemme get back with the Sneak peek before I never get on the Resolution train! Double Creek Crossing Wedding in Caldwell – {Ashlyn & Curt} Part III

Sadly, the final chapter in Ashlyn & Curt’s wedding has come upon us, but on the brighter side, Part III has the “Partay!” and we were so happy we could be a part of it. Double Creek Crossing was accented in emerald green light, provided by RDM Audio, but the show case was the Ashlyn and Curt’s first dance. Boy, did they cut a rug! Secretly the groom had been working on his dancing and choreography with his sister, who teaches ballroom dancing in her spare time. You can imagine Ashlyn’s surprise as Curt spun her around the dance floor like a pro! After their dance, the bride and groom sat at their head table, adorned with natural oak centerpieces, mason jars with tea lights for an intimate / romantic feel, all atop a lace / doily tablecloth, while their antique chairs held their oak labels with Mr. & Mrs. The guest tables held a bit more elaborate setup with a bronze table cover to keep her country chic theme, in addition to vases and hurricanes filled with granny smith apples, and others with coffee beans, accented with vintage emerald glassware encompassing the same tea light / mason jar and tiered oak slivers. A candy bar with some of the couple’s favorite sweets filled the entryway, including some home-made caramel apples labeled with the couple’s names their wedding date and a phrase “Love is Sweet.” Once the guests had a chance to enjoy the intimate atmosphere, the real party started with the DJ from Livewire kicking it up a notch and some good ol’ Texas country. After the cake had been cut, the garter, and the bouquet thrown, it was time for the last dances then the grand exit. Flower petals filled the night air as Ashlyn & Curt said goodbye to their guests. Curt gently lifted his new bride into their getaway vehicle (I don’t think that there’s anything legal that could stop his truck), and drive off into the cool, country night. We’re so happy to have had a chance to work with these two, and not only can we call them awesome clients, but now we can call them some of our best friends. Congrats again you two!
